Freight Forwarder – Benelux LTL Specialist (Belgium & Netherlands)
About the Position
TRUCKY SAS is looking for a motivated and entrepreneurial Freight Forwarder to develop and manage LTL (Less Than Truckload) transport activities across Belgium, the Netherlands, and surrounding European markets.
This is a fully remote, commission-based position, offering complete flexibility and unlimited earning potential. The ideal candidate will have experience in road freight forwarding, strong commercial skills, and an established network of shippers, carriers, or logistics partners within the Benelux region.
As a Freight Forwarder, you will be responsible for sourcing freight opportunities, optimizing transport solutions, and ensuring high-quality service for our customers while maximizing profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a portfolio of LTL customers in Belgium and the Netherlands.
- Identify freight opportunities and consolidate shipments to optimize vehicle utilization and transport costs.
- Organize and coordinate domestic and international road transport operations throughout Europe.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, subcontractors, and logistics partners.
- Negotiate transport rates with carriers and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and healthy margins.
- Prepare quotations, pricing strategies, and transport solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- Monitor shipments proactively and ensure on-time delivery performance.
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations, customs requirements, and shipping documentation.
- Use TMS, ERP, and logistics management systems to manage and optimize freight flows.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve operational issues, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Continuously identify opportunities to increase load factors, improve efficiency, and grow revenue.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in freight forwarding, road transport, or logistics, with a strong understanding of the European LTL market.
- Existing customer or carrier network in Belgium, the Netherlands, or neighboring countries is highly desirable.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to generate business and build long-term partnerships.
- Good knowledge of road freight pricing, route optimization, and transport planning.
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ERP systems, and logistics software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluent English is required; Dutch and/or French would be a significant advantage.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital logistics tools.
- Self-motivated, autonomous, and capable of working remotely while delivering results.
