Junior Finance Analyst
One role. Every dimension of finance
At Orac, we don't see walls as surfaces. We see them as blank canvases. What we create is not decoration, but the elements that define how a space feels. For over 50 years, we've been refining that craft. Combining tradition with innovation and design thinking with industrial precision.
We work with people who care about detail. Because detail is never just a detail: it's what makes something feel right.

Our finance team manages accounting and controlling activities across all group entities, combining operational rigour with analytical depth.
The Junior Finance Analyst role is not a role where you sit in one corner of finance and stay there.
From day one, you’ll rotate through the disciplines that make a finance team tick: accounting operations, financial controlling, reporting and analysis. You’ll learn how the books are built before you learn how to read them. You’ll understand where the numbers come from before you’re asked to explain them. And as your confidence grows, so does your scope.
We start you in accounting, as a foundation. Month by month, you take on more: reconciliations, variance analysis, management reporting, business insights.
You’ll work alongside both the accounting and controlling teams in Belgium and collaborate closely with colleagues in Slovakia, together responsible for the financial operations of the entire international group.
You build your foundation in the daily reality of finance: bank transactions, supplier invoices, stakeholder communication, documentation and digital archives. You learn how the engine runs.
You take on progressively more analytical work:
Sales, P&L and intercompany reconciliations
Accruals and reporting for HUB functions (R&D, Finance, HR, …)
Monthly reporting, budget follow-up and variance analysis
Working capital monitoring
Support on consolidation, transfer pricing and internal controls
Ad-hoc financial analyses for controllers and management
ESG KPI follow-up
You keep your eyes open for what could work better: automation opportunities, smarter reporting, better data quality. You actively explore how AI tools can take repetitive work off the team’s plate so everyone can spend more time on analysis that actually matters.
At 30 days: you know the team, the systems and the key processes. You’re supporting daily accounting tasks and making your first contributions to basic reconciliations.
At 60 days: you’re handling accounting activities independently, running reconciliations on your own and actively supporting monthly reporting and analysis alongside the controllers.
At 90 days: you’re a reliable backup across accounting, familiar with all processes and tools, and contributing actively to reporting.
We’re looking for someone who is genuinely curious: someone who digs into numbers not just to report them, but to understand what’s behind them. Someone who spots inconsistencies, connects the dots across datasets and can translate complex findings into clear, actionable insight for a controller, a manager or a colleague in a different team.
What sets you apart:
You have a hands-on attitude. You don’t wait to be told, you roll up your sleeves and get into the detail.
You’re analytically strong and intellectually curious. You want to understand the ‘why’ behind every number
You think critically. You question assumptions and flag what doesn’t add up
You connect the dots across accounting and controlling, across Belgium and Slovakia, across operations and strategy
You can simplify complexity. You make difficult financial concepts accessible to the people who need to act on them
You have an AI mindset. You naturally reach for smart tools to work faster and better, and you’re curious about what AI can do for finance
What you bring:
Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent
0–2 years of experience in accounting, controlling or audit. Strong starters with an analytical drive are very welcome
Proficient in Excel; experience with SAP, Power BI or IBM PA is a plus not a must
Fluent in Dutch and English
Accurate, deadline-driven and comfortable switching between operational and analytical work
Not sure you tick every box? If this role feels right to you and you recognise yourself in the way we work, we'd still like to hear from you.
Hands-on exposure to the full finance spectrum, accounting, controlling, reporting and analysis, in one role
A structured learning path with growing responsibility from day one
A stable, family-owned company with an international scope and genuine long-term career perspective
Close collaboration with experienced colleagues in Belgium and Slovakia
A working environment that embraces digital tools and AI to make finance smarter
A competitive salary package, discussed together based on your profile
An office in Ostend, with home working flexibility as you grow into the role
