The Director Strategic Supply Chain is responsible for shaping, analyzing, and driving the evolution of the Group’s supply chain network, logistics strategy, and structural performance initiatives. Acting as the analytical engine of the Supply Chain function, this role develops forward-looking scenarios, challenges existing ways of working, and trans-lates strategic ambitions into concrete transformation programs. Working in close partnership with the VP Supply Chain and cross-functional leadership, the Director Strategic Supply Chain ensures that footprint decisions, logistics concepts, and network investments are grounded in robust data, holistic business understanding, and long-term value creation. Beyond analysis, the role actively drives implementation — ensuring that the organization continuously adapts its network, capabilities, and operating model to support growth, cost competitiveness, and sustainability.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and develop a high-impact Strategic Supply Chain team focused on analytics, modelling, logistics strategy, and transformation execution
- Act as a strong challenger and thought partner to senior stakeholders, bringing an external perspective and “out-of-the-box” thinking to supply chain
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Procurement, Commercial, Innovation, ESG, and Regional leadership to ensure alignment
- Promote a culture of curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement within the strategic supply chain domain
- Lead cross-functional programs related to footprint changes, logistics redesign, and structural efficiency improvements
- Support the VP Supply Chain in building a forward-looking, data-driven supply chain organization
Strategic supply chain
- Lead the development of production network scenarios, footprint optimization analyses, and long-term supply chain strategies
- Ensure that strategic decisions are translated into clear implementation plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes and track benefits realization
- Continuously challenge existing structures and propose innovative solutions to improve service, cost, agility, and carbon footprint
- Drive evaluation of plant roles, technology allocation, capacity balancing, and make-or-buy considerations
- Support M&A activities, integrations, and strategic investments through structured supply chain assessments
- Own the Group’s logistics strategy including warehousing concepts, transportation models, routing principles, and distribution network design
Supply Chain Analytics & Scenario Modelling
- Develop advanced network models and simulations to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning
- Fully own the analytical preparation of footprint decisions including expansions, transfers, consolidations, or closures
- Translate large data sets into actionable insights and clear executive-level narratives
- Monitor performance against strategic KPIs and ensure transparency on value creation initiatives
- Align closely with the Director Operational Planning and Master Data to ensure consistency between strategic assumptions and operational execution
- Bring external benchmarks, industry trends, and best practices into the organization to continuously evolve the supply chain setup
