As Product Owner - Communicate & Collaborate, you take end-to-end ownership of a broad product domain within Telenet Business, focusing on Mobile (back-up), Fixed Voice, Cloud Collaboration and the Telenet Incentive Plan. You lead a team of around eight Product Managers and Business Developers, report directly to the Director Product & Journey (Cluster Lead) , and operate within the Business Solution Tribe to deliver scalable solutions for the SME market.
The Product Owner - Communicate & Collaborate steers Telenet Business' pure operator/telco product engine for the SME segment with scalable needs. You own the product domain end-to-end across Mobile, Fixed Voice, VoiceCloud and TIP - combining product backlog, product P&L and people leadership of a mixed team . You are the critical hinge between customer needs, commercial strategy, technical realisation and operational execution within a high-volume, standardised, catalogue-based product surface.
Communicate & Collaborate is the most volume-driven product domain in the cluster - fast-moving catalogue, real pricing pressure on commodity services, and a tightly-coupled commercial cycle with the commercial Tribe and pre-sales. You will be measured on ARPU and net adds on the standardised product, on the time-to-activate of new offers and on the catalogue discipline that keeps the operator/telco engine clean and scalable.
Your responsibilities as Product Owner - Communicate & Collaborate
- You own the product roadmap and the product P&L for the assigned domain. You steer ARPU, net adds, lifecycle cost and the build-versus-buy-versus-partner decisions, and you oversee the financial lifecycle including capex/opex steering and the operational order flow with vendors and partners.
- You lead, coach and develop a multi-disciplinary team - You set the ways of working (OKRs, agile rituals, governance cadence) and you build the team's technical and commercial maturity.
- You translate business needs and CVP priorities (in collaboration with CVP and CX team) into feasible technical solutions together with Product Managers and business Architects. You drive solution feasibility through Quarterly Business Review (QBR) and Big Room Planning (BRP), and you formulate MVP and scale-up decisions.
- You own the product backlog. You prioritise features and epics, validate the “definition of ready” at initiative and epic level, drive EPIC-authoring and ensure clean handovers to build, UAT, FUT and operational readiness.
- You own the vendor and partnership strategy for the domain - selection decisions, partnership investments, vendor performance, certifications - and you propose pricing and commercial terms in alignment with the pricing Manager and Tribe Operations & Steering.
You govern technical and operational deviation requests raised by the Commercial Tribe's pre-sales teams — deciding what can be accommodated within the product model and what not. You manage the product- pre-sales interface as a critical handoff, and you ensure your team delivers product-introduction training to pre-sales, sales and customer-facing teams.
You identify dependencies between tribes and domains (BEAT, Commercial, Enterprise Solutions, Delivery & Services, TV Transformation, CVP & CX), mediate conflicts, drive consensus and escalate in time to the Cluster Lead and Tribe Lead.
Our Ideal Product Owner - Communicate & Collaborate
- You combine technical depth with commercial product accountability — relevant platforms, applications and network technology, with hands-on product management experience (lifecycle, pricing, market positioning, go-to-market).
- You have a Master / Engineering / ICT degree (or equivalent through experience) and 8+ years in telecom or ICT, of which a minimum of 3 years in a (digital) product owner or senior product management role.
- You have demonstrated experience leading a multi-disciplinary team of at least 4 senior or specialised professionals — coaching, hiring, performance management and talent development.
- You are knowledgeable about scaled-agile ways of working (SAFe, scrum, PI Planning, scrum-of-scrums) and you bring them to life as a working method, not as ceremony.
- You are data-driven & comfortable steering on hard KPIs (ARPU, net adds, churn, time-to-activate) and soft signals (rNPS, VOC), and you combine both with frontline customer signals coming back from Commercial. You own the product P&L of your products.
- You operate effectively across complex stakeholder landscapes , both internal (BEAT, Architecture, Operations, Commercial, CVP & CX, TV Transformation) and external (vendors, partners, engineering, system integrators).
- You are a decisive simplifier who reduces complexity in portfolio choices and ways of working and you take calls under uncertainty and stand behind them.
You are fluent in Dutch (or French) and English, both spoken and written.
