As a Data Architect at Vectr.consulting, you will be instrumental in designing and overseeing the data architecture for our clients, ensuring it aligns with their business objectives and supports their most ambitious AI and ML initiatives. You design AI-ready data platforms with MCP-compliant interfaces and work fluently with AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor) as part of your architectural practice.
You will be part of a team of big data developers, responsible for managing various data stores and types in different environments while translating client needs into architectural project specifications.
- Design, create, and manage scalable and robust end-to-end data architectures for clients, including modern data platforms, data lakes and modern lakehouse concepts, with AI-ready and MCP-compliant interfaces.
- Develop and implement comprehensive data strategies, including data modeling, governance, quality standards, and security protocols, with AI-native tooling.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring solutions effectively support advanced AI and Machine Learning use cases.
- Design and advise on the implementation of data pipelines while evaluating and recommending appropriate Big Data technologies, cloud services.
- Provide expert guidance on data security and privacy, and stay at the forefront of emerging technologies to foster a culture of innovation.
As a Data Architect, you are analytical and can transform your insights into compelling narratives that support strategic decision-making.
- Proven experience as a Data Architect or Solutions Architect with a strong focus on Big Data environments, AI/ML applications, and a deep understanding of data modeling, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark and Kafka, along with proficiency in designing and implementing solutions on major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- A solid understanding of machine learning concepts and MLOps principles, and how data architecture underpins successful AI/ML projects.
- Proven hands-on experience designing MCP-compliant architectures, using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor) for architecture prototyping, and with AI-native governance layers is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to explain complex technical concepts to various stakeholders, and a value for teamwork and physical presence for collaboration.
- A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A high level of proficiency in written and spoken Dutch is required.
