About the Role:

As a Landscape Architect, you will be responsible for designing and planning outdoor spaces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing, integrating natural and built environments to enhance community living and environmental sustainability. You will collaborate with clients, engineers, urban planners, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive landscape designs that meet project goals and regulatory requirements. Your role will involve creating detailed architectural drawings, land use plans, and submittals that guide the construction and implementation of landscape projects. You will apply principles of sustainable design to ensure that projects promote environmental stewardship and resilience. Ultimately, your work will contribute to the creation of vibrant, sustainable, and mixed-use spaces that improve quality of life and support diverse community needs across the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a closely related field.
Professional licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Landscape Architect in the United States.
Proficiency in landscape design software such as SketchUp and other architectural drawing tools.
Strong understanding of land use planning, zoning regulations, and sustainable design practices.
Demonstrated experience in preparing detailed architectural drawings and project submittals.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design.
Experience working on mixed-use development projects.
Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and 3D modeling software.
Knowledge of native plant species and ecological restoration techniques.
Certification in sustainable design practices such as LEED or SITES.

Responsibilities:

Develop innovative landscape designs and architectural plans using industry-standard software and manual techniques.
Prepare detailed architectural drawings, land use plans, and project submittals for client review and regulatory approval.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, and urban planners to integrate landscape architecture into broader project scopes.
Conduct site analyses and feasibility studies to inform design decisions and ensure compliance with environmental and zoning regulations.
Incorporate sustainable design principles to promote ecological health, resource efficiency, and long-term site viability.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and client communications to ensure successful project delivery.
Stay current with industry trends, materials, and technologies to continuously improve design quality and innovation.
