Introduction

Our truck factory in Ghent is the largest Volvo Group truck factory worldwide. Every day, almost 3000 colleagues assemble top-quality trucks here. Meet your team

You will join a team of engineers who work both independently and in a team. Together we support each other to give the customer a qualitative and feasible solution to meet the desired truck specifications.

Your ideal job?

On our assembly line and in the Market Adaptation Center, all requests for a customized truck are handled according to the following principle: Our customer? He is king. Do you have good technical insight and would you like to take on the challenge with us to support the customer in the design of the ideal truck?

Your tasks:

Investigate and answer customer questions about technical concepts that are not offered as a standard. This in terms of technical feasibility, cost price, lead time & legal compliance.
Advising other departments on technical product solutions to adapt standard trucks to customer demand. In doing so, you make decisions independently and take final responsibility for these concepts.
You ensure optimal coordination and cooperation between various parties involved (design, order planning, suppliers, sales engineers) so that the production of the designs is ensured efficiently and on time.
Continuously polish your technical knowledge & keep your product knowledge up-to-date

Who are you?

Minimum bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field. Additional knowledge in economics can be an added value. Technical knowledge related to vehicles and/or knowledge of the automotive industry is an advantage.
Being able to work in a team is a must. You easily make contacts and maintain good relationships with others.
Be administrative, organizational, and commercially skilled.
Have excellent networking skills.
Good knowledge of MS Office.
Good knowledge of English is a requirement (other languages are an advantage).
