We are looking for a Projects & Portfolio Controls Lead who is strategic, influential, and data-driven to join our Engineering, Sites & Facilities team, based at our UCB campus located in Braine-l'Alleud, Walloon Brabant, Belgium.
About the role:
As the Projects & Portfolio Controls Lead, you will shape and lead the Project Controls function across UCB's global Engineering CAPEX portfolio. You will establish governance, standards, and performance frameworks that enable predictable project delivery and robust financial stewardship. By transforming complex portfolio data into actionable insights, you will help senior leaders make informed investment decisions, anticipate risks, and maximize the value of capital investments. You will also drive digital and AI-enabled transformation to enhance forecasting, transparency, and portfolio performance.
Who you will work with:
You will work closely with Project Leaders, senior business stakeholders, and strategic partners across UCB's global Engineering organization. You will act as a trusted advisor to leadership teams, helping translate portfolio performance into meaningful decisions while fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary and international environments.
What you will do:

You will lead and continuously improve the global Project Controls operating model across projects and portfolios.

You will establish governance, standards, methodologies, and performance frameworks for project delivery excellence.

You will transform portfolio data into actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership decisions.

You will strengthen financial stewardship through reliable cost, schedule, risk, and cashflow governance.

You will drive digital transformation using analytics, automation, and AI-enabled Project Controls solutions.

You will provide strategic oversight and recovery support for critical, high-value capital projects.
Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Finance, or a related discipline.

Proven expertise in Project Controls, CAPEX governance, forecasting, risk, and change management.

Strong leadership experience within complex, multinational, and matrixed organizations.

Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive enterprise-wide improvements.

Experience leading digital transformation initiatives leveraging data, analytics, and AI technologies.

Professional proficiency in English and French; PMP or PRINCE2 certification is an advantage.
