As a Technology Engineer – Aerodynamics of Centrifugal Compressors, you work, together with highly specialized colleagues, on the design of next generation centrifugal compressors. Our design methodology makes use of CFD, FEA, numerical optimization, advanced modelling, and dedicated testing.
You work on our future technology, through research and development. Furthermore, you work on the development of new centrifugal compressors with today’s technology.
You make use of CFD and FEA packages and an extensive package of inhouse-developed software tools to simulate, analyze and design centrifugal compressors. You design test campaigns, make sure the test rig is up to the task, follow-up testing, process the data and draw conclusions. You develop (multi-disciplinary) numerical models and validate those with test data if needed.
For special applications, you provide detailed technical support to our sales and marketing team. When needed, you work on custom designs for demanding applications.
You report to the team leader Centrifugal Compressors and will work hybrid on our site in Wilrijk. Occasional travelling abroad might be required.

Master or PhD degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent technical field
Thorough understanding of aerodynamic and thermodynamic principles
Experience with simulation software such as CFD or FEA packages
Basic programming skills in Python or MATLAB for data processing
Full professional proficiency in English or Dutch
