Location Qualifications: This role is available for hybrid work (2 days in office) from our office in Ghent.
About the position
We aren't just building another tool; We're rethinking a part of our platform — and honestly, we couldn't be more energized about it.
A genuine greenfield opportunity inside a product that already has real users and real stakes. You'll help design the architecture, not inherit it. That means:
- carving modular service boundaries out of a legacy system
- building multi-tenant infrastructure for global scale
- engineering the orchestration layer that connects live field data streams to agentic AI models in real time.
The infrastructure you build will directly shape how thousands of sales reps learn and execute in the field, every day.
What makes this exciting isn't just the technical scope — it's how the team is structured. Product brings years of deep domain experience in the LMS (Learning Management System) space; they understand exactly where enterprise sales tooling needs to do better. And engineering owns the architecture to get there. No handoffs, but a shared technical and product vision, built by people who really want to build it right.
If you're a mid-level engineer ready to transition from "executing tasks" to "owning the landscape," this is your seat at the table.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, cloud-native solutions that handle high-velocity content distribution.
- From initial requirement gathering to deployment and monitoring, you own your features end-to-end.
- Participate in deep-dive code reviews and mentor peers, ensuring our codebase stays robust, testable, and clean.
- Tackle intricate challenges in cloud architecture, database optimization, and messaging systems.
- We work in an agile, iterative environment where your ideas on improving our stack are not just heard—they're expected.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least one modern backend ecosystem—Node.js/TypeScript, Go, or Python.
- Proven experience building within AWS (or similar providers) and a solid grasp of microservices or serverless patterns.
- A "test-first" mentality and a passion for writing maintainable, high-performance code.
- The ability to navigate complex architectures and identify where a system can be made more resilient or efficient.
Nice to haves
- Experience building SaaS products at scale.
- Familiarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM) or CMS architectures.
- Legacy-curious: You don't mind diving into PHP when the mission requires it.
