As a full-time Risk Analyst, you will play a key role in managing and strengthening our credit risk framework. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculations, developing and monitoring risk models, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
You will combine strong analytical expertise with business understanding to identify risk drivers, monitor portfolio developments, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure robust risk management, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
What will be your role?

Calculate and monitor Expected Credit Losses (ECL) across portfolios, including loss allowances and cost of risk.

Manage IFRS 9 staging, including Days Past Due (DPD) monitoring and analysis of stage migrations.

Develop, monitor, and validate risk parameters (PD, LGD, EAD), including model development, calibration, backtesting, and periodic validation.

Monitor and validate credit risk scorecards.

Prepare and validate IFRS 9 data by ensuring data quality, performing data checks, and coordinating data delivery to reporting tools.

Analyse and explain provisioning movements by assessing drivers of loss allowance variations, including portfolio volume, portfolio mix, and parameter changes.

Explain provisioning movements related to stage migrations, write-offs, and recoveries.

Communicate credit risk developments and provisioning impacts clearly to management.

Prepare internal and external risk reporting.

Ensure governance and coordination with Controlling and Accounting teams.

Support methodological changes and ensure required approvals are obtained for models, parameters, and other risk-related topics.

Maintain IFRS 9 documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Maintain strong cross-functional collaboration with relevant departments, including Collections and Litigation, to identify and analyse root causes of staging movements, write-offs, and other credit risk developments.

Contribute to and oversee risk and compliance initiatives within the organization.
Does this sound like you?
You have a strong analytical background and a solid understanding of credit risk management. You combine quantitative expertise with business insight and are able to translate complex risk analyses into clear recommendations.

A master’s degree in mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Applied Economics, or a related quantitative field.

A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in credit risk management.

Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, including risk appetite frameworks, risk identification, risk measurement, and risk mitigation.

Good understanding of the Basel regulatory framework, including recent developments such as Basel IV, as well as general credit risk regulatory requirements (CRR/CRD IV and IFRS 9).

Proven experience in developing and reviewing IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss models, including: Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD), Exposure at Default (EAD), Staging methodology, Forward-looking information and Integration of macroeconomic parameters

Strong skills in econometrics and statistical modelling.

Experience with SAS is essential; knowledge of analytical tools such as STATA, Python, and SQL is considered a strong advantage.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including VBA, or experience with other procedural programming languages.

Professional fluency in English is required.

Advanced proficiency in Dutch or French is a strong advantage.

Knowledge of German is considered a plus.
