About Daikin Europe N.V.
At Daikin Europe, we offer you the opportunity to expand your professional experience either internally or internationally. We strongly believe that job rotation is an excellent catalyst for further developing your skills, knowledge, and long-term career.
Within our Service & Solutions Business SBU, the Turnkey Organization focuses on delivering complete, end-to-end HVAC projects and solutions across the entire EMEA region. To strengthen our fast-growing team at our EMEA Headquarters in Brussels, we are seeking an entrepreneurial Solution Engineer to support our international affiliates and elevate our operational processes.
Your Role as a Solution Engineer
As a Solution Engineer, you will work closely with the Turnkey Engineering Manager. You will be the key-person driving the rollout, standardization, and optimization of operational processes and technical solutions for our HVAC Project organization across EMEA. Because this is a dynamic business segment within Daikin, you will enjoy a high degree of flexibility to give your own direction and input to the role.
Your main responsibilities are structured around three core pillars:
1. Development of Standardized Solutions (Systems & Technical Engineering)
- Identify Business Cases: Collaborate with local affiliate companies to identify opportunities for standardized HVAC solutions and develop solid business cases to justify investments.
- Define Technical Requirements: Outline the mechanical, electrical, controls, and maintainability specifications required to build cost-effective technical solutions.
- Design & Calculation: Develop standardized technical solutions complete with technical drawings, engineering calculations, and documentation.
- Create Commercial Guidelines: Establish clear guidelines for local Sales and Engineering teams to help them identify market opportunities and apply these standardized solutions.
- Assess Production Capabilities: Map and evaluate manufacturing capabilities across our factories, subsidiaries, and sub-contractors.
2. Tools, Software & IT Architecture Optimization
- Turnkey Systems Key User: Gain a deep understanding of our administrative and financial systems to optimize end-to-end turnkey workflows.
- Enhance IT Architecture: Partner with the operational team and affiliate companies to investigate necessary IT developments (such as CRM, Salesforce, or SAP) to improve current systems.
- Project Follow-Up: Lead system enhancement projects from a business perspective, ensuring all functional requirements are met in close collaboration with various Daikin departments.
- Energy Management Systems (EMS): Support the development and implementation of our EMS service offering alongside business development and engineering. Manage EMS software, dashboards, and energy monitoring platforms.
- Affiliate Support: Facilitate regular meetings and track KPIs to support subsidiaries in the proper usage of software and systems.
3. Turnkey Community Ambassador & Process Rollout
- Knowledge Sharing: Promote the turnkey business by organizing international workshops, managing working groups, and sharing best practices across EMEA affiliates.
- Process Implementation: Develop and implement standardized operational processes by delivering targeted trainings and following up on their execution locally.
Your Profile
- Education: You hold an Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Climate Solutions, or equivalent).
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a business environment focused on engineering and/or technical systems (ideally within HVAC or project construction).
- System Knowledge: Solid baseline knowledge of ERP systems, software tools, and operational processes. Specific experience tracking IT projects or working with CRM, Salesforce, or SAP is a strong asset ("nice-to-have").
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience in system engineering (including mechanical, electrical, and/or controls/automation).
- Core Competencies: Highly analytical with keen attention to detail and accuracy. You are results-oriented with the ability to plan and deliver against strict project deadlines through a collaborative approach.
- Languages & Mobility: Excellent communication skills with fluency in English. Being fluent in another European language is a clear asset. You are willing to live near our Brussels office and travel occasionally (max 10%).
What We Offer
- A varied job with a high degree of autonomy and flexibility to shape your role.
- A professional, international, and pleasant working environment.
- A competitive salary package combined with attractive extra-legal benefits (group insurance, hospitalization insurance, performance-linked bonus system, meal vouchers, etc.).
- In-depth, structured training to thoroughly understand our internal procedures, systems, and the "Daikin Way" of working.
