For its headquarters in Europe (Kallo), Lawter is looking for a:
PRODUCT SAFETY & REGULATORY COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with product safety regulations for all products manufactured and sold across in the EU and Americas markets.
- Prepare SDS's and labels and assure that they reflect finished product compositions and properties.
- Manage product registrations by preparing and submitting dossiers to secure approvals in Europe and America.
- Respond to regulatory compliance inquiries and to perform periodic reviews and evaluations to validate compliance with applicable regulations.
- Provide guidance and training to our internal and external customer regarding the regulatory requirements of GHS, SDS and other international chemical regulations as required.
- Prepare appropriate and timely responses to both internal and external customer inquiries prioritizing quality and timely communication.
- Contribute to the development of regulatory recommendations and decisions to relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor legislative changes the regulatory field.
- Knowledge in various inventories in use and registration of products (REACH-worldwide, TSCA, etc.).
- Collaborate cross functionally with Marketing, Sales and R&D to implement business regulatory programs and participate in stage-gate screening and Management of Change.
- Review product compositions to assure compliance with chemical control regulations and assist in the preparation of any requested notifications to government agencies.
- Create and deliver training to business stakeholders to increase their regulatory awareness.
- Represent Lawter interests in external scientific and regulatory fora, including key industry associations.
- Visit to domestic and international locations. The job requires approximately 5% travelling.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Chemistry or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a regulatory affairs environment.
- Full professional proficiency in Dutch and English (written and verbal).
- The ideal candidate has demonstrated functional expertise in Product Safety & Regulatory Compliance in the international chemical industry and has a dynamic approach towards the company and the existing team
