About the position:
It concerns an evolutive function with huge potential for development where you, as a Business Controller, are an integral part of a dynamic team within our Finance department.
In this crucial role, you will support and advise various departments, including the functional departments of the head office, the Region Directors, and the Directors of our residential care centers. You will assist them in making strategic and financial decisions that contribute to the growth and development of our organization. You report directly to the Business Controlling Manager and work primarily from our headquarters in Mechelen, but occasionally visit our residential care centers.
Responsibilities:

Performance Analysis: Actively contribute to the monthly closing of accounts for the group and for site and regional directors. Analyze results, KPIs, and perform detailed variance analysis to provide actionable recommendations and follow up on execution.

Financial Planning: Prepare and monitor annual budgets, business plans, and forecasts.

Working Capital & Cash Flow Management: Oversee Net Working Capital (NWC) and Net Financial Debt (NFD) reporting. Monitor cash flow performance, analyze variances, and identify opportunities for optimization to ensure healthy liquidity and capital structure.

Digital Transformation: Leverage Business Intelligence (BI) tools and emerging AI technologies to automate reporting, enhance data visualization, and drive predictive financial insights.

Strategic Contribution: Contribute to the business plan and its implementation, focusing on activity centers, cost components (personnel, site costs, etc.), and overall financial health.

Collaborative Impact: Work in close consultation with finance and operations teams to achieve strong results and support strategic goals. This is a 360-degree business controlling function with direct impact on company performance.
Qualifications:

Education: Master's degree in an economics discipline (e.g., Finance, Business Economics, or similar).

Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role as a Business Controller or Financial Analyst.

Technical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills with specific experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Demonstrated ability to manage NWC, NFD, and cash flow reporting.

Digital Skills: Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and a keen interest in applying AI-driven solutions to financial modeling and data analysis.

Growth Mindset: A high aptitude for learning new technologies, processes, and systems to continuously improve financial workflows.

Communication: A talent for making complex financial data (including cash and balance sheet metrics) understandable to non-financial stakeholders. Ability to interact at both strategic and operational levels.
