Function

To help Europe and Belgium achieve their energy transition ambitions, Elia is expanding its high-voltage grid, both onshore and offshore. In this context, Elia is looking for a Programme Management Officer (PMO) to support the management of the infrastructure projects to be implemented.

Job description

In the Large Projects division, you will be part of a team comprising Programme Management Officers (PMO) and schedule and risk management experts. As a Programme Management Officer, you will play a key role in project management, specifically in budget management, schedule management, risk management, and general coordination.

Within the context of one or more infrastructure programmes or projects, you will report functionally to the Programme Manager (PM), who holds ultimate responsibility for the infrastructure programme(s) concerned. You will work with Project Leaders, Project Engineers, Technical Experts, etc., and, based on the programme’s requirements, will functionally manage a team of PMO experts.

The most important responsibilities of the PMO in this context are to:

define, maintain, and improve a programme management framework, including standards for budget, schedule and risk management, as well as reporting;
provide support in the definition and management of baselines for scope, planning, and budget and to ensure coherence between the various domains;
consolidate budget estimates and cost planning, including risk provisions, and provide an insight into evolutions and trends;
facilitate risk management, anticipate problems, and agree on any corrective actions with the team;
facilitate schedule management by preparing a programme schedule, etc.;
develop and manage programme reporting to management and governance bodies;

Across the various programmes, you will also support the PMO Team Lead in developing and ensuring a coherent methodology and approach across the different infrastructure programmes in the Large Projects division.

Your Profile

You have a Master's in a financial or technical field;
You have strong organisational skills are results-oriented;
You enjoy working as part of a team and seek to make an impact;
You have excellent oral and written communication skills;
You are a team player;
You are able to work under pressure;
You are proactive, a problem-solver, and do not shy away from challenges;
You are able to set priorities and act accordingly;
You communicate fluently in English and Dutch, both orally and in writing and have a good comprehension of French;
You have completed a PMI/PMP course or have equivalent experience (a minimum of 5 years in project management).

Offer

Salary : a competitive salary package, allowance for representation expenses, year-end bonus, double vacation pay, meal vouchers (€10 per working day), eco-vouchers, year-end vouchers as well as bonuses based on individual and group results.

Vacation : you will be entitled to 20 vacation days, 12 additional vacation days and 3 exempt days (after 1 year of employment) and up to 5 long-service days (1 day for every 3 years in employment).

Mobility : we will offer you a company car and public transport or a mobility budget.
Interest subsidies : after you have been with Elia for 5 years, Elia Engineering will be able to offer you a subsidy to reduce the interest charges on your mortgage loan. This will only be possible if the mortgage loan was taken out when you were already an Elia employee.
Elia shares : Elia will give you the opportunity to subscribe to shares with a discount of 16.66% on the average share price.
