We're looking for a Director, Applied AI Transformation – Life Sciences to join our team across Europe in a hybrid or remote working mode. In this strategic role, you will lead enterprise-scale agentic and AI-driven transformation for global life sciences organizations including pharma, biotech and medtech. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, you will drive applied AI initiatives that enable innovation in a highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities

Define and execute applied AI and agentic transformation strategies for life sciences clients
- Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives on AI adoption and digital innovation
- Lead presales efforts including shaping opportunities, building business cases and guiding solution design
- Facilitate workshops to convert complex business challenges into actionable AI use cases
- Drive enterprise AI adoption through change management and strategic value realization
- Lead cross-functional teams delivering scalable, compliant agentic solutions across business and IT domains
- Develop expertise in large language models, multi-agent systems and industry-leading AI platforms
- Ensure compliance and security for AI-driven solutions within regulatory frameworks
- Mentor internal and client teams to build AI capabilities and accelerate adoption
- Track market trends and promote EPAM thought leadership in applied AI for life sciences
Requirements

10+ years in life sciences with expertise in transformation or technology-driven innovation
- Strong understanding of industry regulations including GxP, pharmacovigilance and validation requirements
- Proven experience advising senior executives and driving AI adoption at enterprise scale
- Hands-on applied AI experience with technologies such as LLMs, multi-agent orchestration and RAG frameworks
- Familiarity with major AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft AI) and hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Ability to originate and convert engagements including presales and business-case development
- History of leading global, cross-functional teams in complex regulated environments
- Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business; MBA preferred
- Ability to travel as required
