We are currently seeking a MECHANICAL QC INSPECTOR to join a major petrochemical and chemical industry project in Belgium.
- Review and comment on subcontractor procedures and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Perform witness, inspection, and surveillance activities while continuously assessing subcontractor QC performance
- Ensure the quality of the work complies with the Construction Site Quality Plan, approved ITPs, and applicable procedures within assigned areas
- Ensure all inspection activities are properly recorded in the relevant documentation
- Monitor subcontractor QC resources to ensure quality standards are achieved in line with agreed requirements
- Identify and document subcontractor and supplier quality deficiencies and initiate non-conformance processes when required
- Record deficiencies and incomplete works on punch lists and liaise with site supervisors/superintendents to expedite corrective actions
- Maintain close coordination with discipline supervisors for field inspections
- Ensure materials used on site comply with project technical documentation, applicable codes, and specifications
- Support the QC/Turnover team in collecting and compiling relevant QC documentation
HSE Responsibilities
- Implement HSE procedures and standards in compliance with applicable regulations, Health & Safety documentation, and Environmental Management requirements
- Remain vigilant and report unsafe acts, unsafe behaviours, and unsafe conditions observed on site
- Technical background in mechanical, piping, or industrial maintenance disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of experience on industrial construction projects
- Strong experience in mechanical and piping quality inspection
- Good knowledge of Completion and Turnover processes
- Good understanding of applicable site quality codes, standards, and procedures
- Experience in Oil & Gas, energy, chemical, or heavy industrial environments is highly appreciated
- Professional level of English required
