We're looking for a Director, Applied AI Transformation – Banking & Financial Services to join our team across multiple European locations in a hybrid or remote working mode. You will lead enterprise-scale agentic transformation for global BFSI organizations, act as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives and drive adoption of applied AI and agentic systems that deliver measurable business value.
Responsibilities

Define and execute applied AI and agentic transformation strategies for banking and financial services clients
- Serve as a strategic advisor to C-suite executives on AI adoption and digital transformation initiatives
- Lead presales efforts by shaping opportunities, developing business cases and supporting go-to-market strategies
- Facilitate workshops to translate business challenges into actionable AI use cases
- Identify high-value AI and Gen AI opportunities and drive enterprise adoption through change management
- Lead cross-functional teams in delivering AI and agentic solutions from ideation to production
- Maintain hands-on expertise in large language models, multi-agent systems and AI platform integration across major labs and hyperscalers
- Champion enterprise-scale AI solutions ensuring compliance, scalability and security
- Develop and mentor EPAM and client teams to strengthen AI capabilities
- Monitor industry trends and evangelize best practices to position EPAM as a thought leader
Requirements

10+ years of experience in banking and financial services with a strong record in transformation or product innovation
- Proven experience advising C-suite executives and driving AI adoption at scale
- Hands-on expertise in applied AI, including large language models, multi-agent orchestration and RAG frameworks
- Knowledge of BFSI regulations, risk controls and operating models across key business areas
- Familiarity with leading AI platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft) and hyperscaler ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Demonstrated ability to build business cases and lead presales activities for AI programs
- Strong leadership skills with experience building and managing cross-functional teams globally
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in complex enterprise environments
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business; MBA or equivalent preferred
