Could you be the full-time Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer in Charleroi we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical and analytical expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and detail-oriented teammates.
You'll play a key role in ensuring that our designs meet their intended purpose by leading Verification, Integration, and Test activities. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (design teams, Test & Commissioning, and Safety Assurance), define and execute test plans, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of managing the implementation and execution of V&V activities for TRB project, as well as interfacing with experts across departments to ensure seamless integration but also contributing to continuous improvement through feedback and lessons learned.
We’ll look to you for
- Contributing to the definition and implementation of the Project Verification and Validation strategy
- Defining verification methodologies for selected deliverables
- Creating and executing test plans and test descriptions for lab and site activities
- Collaborating with Test & Commissioning to align on-site and in-house testing activities
- Interfacing with Safety Assurance Managers to share and justify test results
- Specifying, developing, and configuring test assets, such as test benches and instrumentation
- Providing data to maintain and enhance applicable KPIs
- Managing configuration and change management cycles related to V&V activities
- Representing Alstom in front of customers or partners to provide updates on progress, issues, and opportunities

- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience or understanding of Software coding and system integration
- Knowledge of at least one Alstom platform
- Familiarity with design and data preparation processes
- A strong analytical skill set
- Open-mindedness and a problem-solving mindset
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Experience in a relevant position is a plus, but it is not mandatory (preferably in a complex and regulated environment like railway signaling, aerospace or defense )
- Able to travel for site tests (most of the travels are in Europe, but possible to extend)
