Our client is looking for a Software Solution Specialist – Communication Tools to join a Digital Workplace product team responsible for communication-related applications and platforms. The role combines application management, business analysis, solution design, configuration, stakeholder engagement, and operational support.
The selected consultant will act as a key link between business users, product owners, suppliers, and technical teams, ensuring that communication solutions meet business requirements, integrate effectively within the IT landscape, and continue to evolve in line with organizational needs.
The position requires a strong understanding of web technologies and communication platforms, experience with application lifecycle management, and the ability to work in an Agile environment while supporting both operational and strategic initiatives.
Your missions:
Manage and optimize communication-related software solutions and applications.
Gather, analyze, and define functional and technical requirements.
Configure and adapt applications to meet business and user needs.
Coordinate the implementation of new requirements and enhancements.
Contribute to the continuous improvement and evolution of existing solutions.
Ensure successful integration of applications within the broader IT ecosystem.
Support testing activities and quality assurance processes.
Contribute to application maintenance, operations, and service continuity.
Assist in supplier management, licensing discussions, and SLA-related activities.
Provide guidance to business stakeholders and key users on best practices.
Perform market research and fit-gap analyses to identify suitable solutions.
Your activities:
Business & Functional Analysis
Collect and analyze business requirements.
Define functional and technical specifications for communication solutions.
Conduct fit-gap analyses and market assessments.
Advise stakeholders on solution capabilities and best practices.
Solution Configuration & Implementation
Configure applications according to customer requirements.
Coordinate implementation activities for new functionalities and enhancements.
Support the deployment and adoption of communication tools.
Ensure alignment between business expectations and technical solutions.
Application Lifecycle Management
Participate in the planning, development, operation, and continuous improvement of applications.
Contribute to software evolution initiatives and product roadmap activities.
Support application maintenance and operational activities.
Integration & Testing
Ensure proper integration of applications within the enterprise application landscape.
Support testers in preparing, executing, and evaluating test scenarios.
Assist in validating solution quality and business readiness.
Supplier & Service Management
Support license management and negotiations.
Contribute to supplier management activities.
Assist in defining and monitoring Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Support IT cost estimation activities and provide input regarding team composition.
Stakeholder Support
Collaborate closely with product owners, experts, business users, and external partners.
Provide guidance and support to key users.
Communicate application changes, updates, and improvements effectively.
You have the following skills:
Education
University degree in:
Business Informatics
Computer Science
Or an equivalent field
Technical Skills
Minimum 3 years of experience with web technologies and content management systems.
Hands-on experience with CMS platforms such as:
Sitecore
DotNetNuke (DNN)
Unily
Or similar solutions
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (O365) tools.
Experience in application planning, development, operation, maintenance, and enhancement.
Understanding of software and application lifecycle management.
Knowledge of application integration within complex IT environments.
Methodologies & Processes
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies.
Knowledge of ITIL-based Service Management is considered an asset.
Experience in IT operations management is an advantage.
Experience in IT supplier/provider management is an advantage.

Dutch: minimum C1 level.
French: minimum C1 level.

Other Requirements
Willingness to travel occasionally, including internationally.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment with regular onsite presence (2 days per week).

If you are at least fluent in FR/ENG or NL/ENG it’s best
