Role Overview:
Zurich Insurance Benelux is currently looking for an Underwriter Directors & Officers Liability (D&O). As a D&O Underwriter, you will be responsible for the maintenance and growth of our D&O portfolio. You will be making risk analysis, using underwriting tools to set pricing accordingly and negotiate on deals with brokers. Together with your colleagues you will further develop your expertise in D&O. Teamwork is key alongside the independent coordination of your own portfolio from A to Z. Easily establishing (new) contacts and supporting the expansion of your network is second nature to you. All of this with a passion for the Insurance business.
We seek someone that commits to challenges combining analytical and critical thinking with a hands-on attitude and commercial flair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain and develop the D&O portfolio and the Management liability portfolio including Employment practice liability insurance, Crime insurance and Securities offering insurance products.
- Support and coordinate the development of contacts with national insurance brokers and service providers determining their insurance related needs and provide proper solution(s)
- Calculate Target Price accurately by utilizing underwriting tools appropriately
- Promote and create awareness of our new product(s) offering in the national insurance markets and assess the possible needs & opportunities
- Process data, analyze information and fact find consolidation to result in accurate but timely decision making
- Administer and monitor underwriting rules, guidelines, rating manual rules, insurance laws and regulations
- Support, coordinate and follow up all administrative requirements regarding your customers and contacts where you work in a well-arranged manner with and on your files
- Build and maintain relationships with key business partners, local and international insurance brokers and risk managers.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Law or Economics
- 2-5 years relevant experience in the broader insurance sector
- Fluent in Dutch, English and French
- Strong commercial thinker and result focus with passion for insurance industry
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking and structured way of working
