The Inspector I is responsible for conducting entry-level sampling activities on vessels, rail/road cars, and shore tanks, following precisely defined procedures. The role involves collecting petroleum and petrochemical fluid samples (and dry cargo in certain regions) and ensuring their proper labelling, storage, and transportation for laboratory analysis. The job requires working at heights and in confined spaces, handling hazardous materials, and adhering to strict safety regulations. The position involves irregular shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow client instructions, Saybolt Standard procedures, Global Safety Manual, and company policies.
Participate in training and pass relevant examinations in petroleum, chemical, and gas inspection, hazardous materials transportation, and safety protocols.
Ensure proper labeling and secure storage of samples, including product details, storage method, time of sampling, and inspector name.
