Your job
We are looking for a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Functional Analyst to join our IT team.
This hybrid role combines deep domain expertise with strong analytical capabilities to support the design, development, and optimization of IT systems and digital solutions.
You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that IT solutions align with business goals and deliver measurable value.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Subject Matter Expert (SME):

Provide expert-level knowledge in specific IT domains such as ERP, CRM, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, or enterprise architecture.

Advise on best practices, standards, and emerging technologies relevant to the domain.

Collaborate with business units to understand strategic objectives and translate them into IT capabilities.

Support solution architects and developers with domain-specific insights during design and implementation phases.
As a Functional Analyst:

Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements through workshops, interviews, and data analysis.

Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories for development teams.

Work closely with developers, testers, and project managers to ensure solutions meet business expectations.

Participate in system configuration, testing (including UAT), and deployment activities.

Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to digital transformation initiatives.
Your profile
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT business analysis, functional consulting, or SME roles.
- Has a good knowledge of the Proximus IT landscape and its interfaces.
- Understands how interfaces work (Appl FE / Appl BE / Middleware / Aris / UCMDB / IMD / CIT).
- Expert knowledge of Configuration Management tools (BB8, ILMT, ODS, UCMDB, UADT, UBRO, DCT (Nlyte), SNOW, ARIS, AIV, CIT).
- Has an advanced understanding of different subprocesses (WMC / LMC / …) feeding data into UCMDB.
- Has good experience in latest Spring, Angular frameworks
- Has good experience with REST API, SOAP, Openshift and Micro services
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other software development methodologies.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CBAP, ITIL, TOGAF, or domain-specific credentials.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or DevOps environments.
- Familiarity with data modeling, APIs, and integration frameworks.
Soft Skills:
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
- Proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
