Tasks:
Sales Process & Methodology

Own and continuously improve Faerch's end-to-end sales process, ensuring it reflects best practice and is consistently applied across the sales organisation.

Define and document standard ways of working across the sales cycle — from prospecting, opportunity management through to account planning.

Identify process gaps and inefficiencies, and drive practical improvements in collaboration with sales leadership.

Support the development and maintenance of commercial playbooks, sales guides, and best practice frameworks tailored to the packaging industry.
Sales Drumbeat & Cadence

Evolve and support the sales drumbeat — the structured rhythm of reviews, pipeline meetings, account planning sessions, and performance check-ins that keep the sales organisation aligned and accountable.

Support with consistent adoption of the sales cadence across regions and teams, adapting where necessary to local context.

Work with the Commercial organisation and Senior Director of Commercial Excellence to align the drumbeat with broader commercial planning cycles (e.g., forecasting, budgeting, QBRs).
CRM Ownership & Development

Act as the functional owner of Faerch's CRM platform (e.g., Dynamics), ensuring it is configured to support sales processes and drives genuine user value.

Drive CRM adoption across the sales organisation through training, communications, and ongoing support.

Collaborate with IT to develop and improve CRM functionality, data quality, and integration with other commercial systems.

Define and enforce CRM usage standards, including pipeline management disciplines and activity logging.
Sales Training & Capability Building

Design and support delivery of training programmes that build commercial capability across the sales organisation — covering areas such as sales methodology, account management, CRM usage, pricing and the Faerch product portfolio.

Conduct capability assessments to identify skill gaps and tailor development interventions accordingly.

Curate and manage a library of sales learning resources, playbooks, and reference materials.
Stakeholder Collaboration

Act as a trusted partner to sales managers and frontline sellers, helping them work smarter and more effectively.

Collaborate with HR and Learning & Development on capability-building initiatives and onboarding programmes.

Work with Marketing to ensure sales tools, materials, and messaging are aligned and fit for purpose.

Support the Senior Director of Commercial Excellence in embedding a high-performance sales culture across the organisation.
Skills:

Background in the packaging, food manufacturing, or broader FMCG industry.

Coaching or training qualification is a plus.
Powers of the Position and Success Criteria:
Decision-Making Authority

Owns the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of Faerch's sales processes and tools.

Acts as functional owner of the CRM platform; recommends and implements changes within agreed governance frameworks.

Operates with a high degree of autonomy within the scope of the Commercial Excellence function, escalating strategic decisions to the Senior Director.
Success Criteria

Adoption and consistent usage of defined sales processes and CRM across the sales organisation.

Quality and effectiveness of sales training programmes, measured through capability assessments and feedback.

Measurable improvement in sales discipline — e.g., pipeline hygiene, forecast accuracy, and meeting cadence adherence.

Positive feedback from sales managers and frontline sellers on tools, processes, and support provided.

Speed and effectiveness of onboarding for new sales hires.

Contribution to overall commercial performance improvements as part of the Commercial Excellence team.
Location / On-site expectations:
This role requires regular on-site presence and close collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
Therefore, we are prioritising candidates who are based within reasonable commuting distance of a Faerch site location.
Please note that this is not a fully remote role.
