Interim Senior Project Manager E‑waste
Location: Liège (Belgium) | Full-time (32–40 hrs) | Hybrid
At Renewi, we are transforming waste into valuable raw materials. Within our E-waste business, you will play a crucial role in driving strategic and operational projects that accelerate our impact in the circular economy.
As Senior Project Manager E-waste, you take ownership of complex transformation initiatives in a dynamic, operational environment. You combine strong execution power with a continuous improvement mindset, bringing structure, clarity, and sustainable performance improvements across multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end transformation projects within the E-waste business
- Translate strategic ambitions into concrete, executable plans with clear milestones, ownership, and timelines
- Drive daily execution and ensure visible operational progress—not just reporting, but delivery
- Identify and realise continuous improvement opportunities within operations, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and performance improvement
- Support the standardisation and optimisation of processes across sites, aligning with operational excellence principles
- Actively manage cross-functional dependencies across operations, IT, finance, and external partners
- Identify and structure key risks (e.g. capacity constraints, system limitations, data quality) and translate them into actionable plans
- Take ownership in resolving issues and removing organizational roadblocks
- Ensure strong governance, reporting, decision-making, and escalation management
- Create alignment with senior stakeholders and challenge decision-making where needed
- Deliver tangible operational impact, such as efficiency improvements, capacity optimisation, cost reduction and performance enhancement
Who you are:
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in project or program management within complex operational environments
- Proven experience in industrial, recycling, processing or similar operational environments
- Experience with continuous improvement and/or operational excellence programs (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, CI initiatives)
- Strong data-driven mindset; able to work with KPIs, performance management and operational reporting
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and strongly execution-driven
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to structure complexity and drive decision-making
- Skilled stakeholder manager, able to influence and align senior leadership
- Experience with change and implementation in operational environments
- Languages
- Fluent French (mandatory)
- Fluent English (mandatory)
