About Tom&Co

Tom&Co is a leading pet retail company, recognized for its innovation, customer service, and commitment to quality. As we expand across Belux and France, we're looking for a motivated Legal/Paralegal intern to support our Legal Department. This is an exciting opportunity to learn and work in a dynamic, cross-border retail environment and gain hands-on legal experience across multiple areas of law. As a intern, you’ll work directly with the Group Legal Counsel to support a wide range of legal and corporate matters. You’ll be responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts, managing legal documentation, supporting compliance efforts, and contributing to the legal aspects of Tom&Co’s business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and track franchise agreements, supplier contracts, and commercial lease agreements.
Provide support in corporate governance tasks, such as maintaining company records and preparing documents for board meetings.
Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with relevant laws in Belgium, Luxembourg, and France.
Assist with M&A, expansion projects, and cross-border transactions.
Manage and organize legal files and databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
Liaise with internal teams (expansion, IT, procurement, etc.) to ensure contracts and business operations meet legal standards.

Your Profile

Srudent in a Law or Paralegal programme
Interest in franchise law and commercial law.
Strong knowledge of Belgian law and contract law in general. Familiarity with French law is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, in French and Dutch (English is an asset).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong sense of responsibility and commitment.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach to legal issues.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with various stakeholders within the company.
