At DIGI Belgium, we are reshaping the telecom landscape with bold ambitions and a strong focus on innovation, safety, and operational excellence. As we continue to deploy and operate mobile and fixed networks across Belgium, safety remains a cornerstone of everything we do.

To support our fast-growing telecom activities, we are looking for a Prevention Advisor Level 1 and Coordinator HSE with proven experience in constructions, - constructions installations/networks, telecommunications-is an advantage, who will play a key role in ensuring safe working environments across both mobile and fixed network projects.

This role combines field presence and office-based work, requiring mobility across different sites and cities.

As manager or member of a team, your Key Responsibilities :

Safety Policy & Strategy: Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies and procedures adapted to telecom engineering activities (mobile and fixed networks);
Risk Analysis & Assessments: Conduct in-depth risk analyses for network construction, installation, and maintenance activities, both on-site and in office-based projects;
Field Safety Oversight: Perform regular site visits to monitor compliance with safety regulations, identify hazards, and proactively address risks on mobile and fixed network construction sites;
Incident & Accident Investigation: Investigate incidents and near-misses, perform root cause analyses, and define corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence;
Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with Belgian safety legislation and telecom-specific standards through inspections, audits, and safety reviews;
Safety Culture Development: Work closely with engineers, contractors, project managers, and management to promote a strong safety culture across the organization;
Training & Awareness: Support the development and delivery of safety trainings, toolbox meetings, and awareness campaigns for internal teams and external partners;
Project Support: Act as a safety partner for telecom projects, advising engineering and deployment teams throughout the project lifecycle;
External Coordination: Liaise with external authorities, inspection bodies, and partners regarding safety matters when required;

Your Profile:

Certified Prevention Advisor Level 1 (mandatory);
Ideally master’s degree in Engineering, preferably Telecommunications Engineering;
Proven experience in constructions, installations construction - including electrical, data, equipment, networks (launch, implementation, maintenance or infrastructure projects) - construction of mobile and/or fixed telecommunications networks is an advantage.
Strong understanding of risks related to telecom field activities (working at height, RF exposure, electrical risks, civil works, etc.);
Fluent in French and Dutch, with a good professional knowledge of English, Romanian is a plus;
Willing and able to be mobile across different sites, combined with office-based work;
Strong analytical mindset with a pragmatic, hands-on approach;
Able to work independently while collaborating closely with engineering, QHSE, and project teams.

Nice to have:

VCA-VOL certification;
GOF 3–4;
Knowledge of Belgian telecom safety standards and regulations;
Experience working with contractors and subcontractors in telecom environments.
