About the role:

As an R&D Pilot Plant Technician, you play a key role in supporting product development by operating pilot production lines and laboratory activities.
You will work hands‑on with chocolate and fillings, preparing pilot samples, running trials and ensuring accurate execution of R&D requests. This role combines production, laboratory work and administrative coordination, with direct impact on innovation and product quality.

Key responsibilities:

Prepare and produce pilot samples from raw ingredients based on defined recipes.
Operate pilot equipment (mixing, refining, conching) and monitor processing parameters.
Evaluate finished samples and report on quality, taste and compliance.
Support sample preparation, packaging and shipment to customers and internal stakeholders.
Manage SAP and Salesforce processes related to sample requests and material usage.
Maintain pilot line inventory and ensure correct stock levels.
Perform lab tests (rheology, fineness, moisture, tempering, etc.).
Analyze results and prepare reports for R&D stakeholders.
Ensure cleanliness, hygiene and compliance with safety and ISO standards.
Support continuous improvement of recipes and processes.

About you:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent through experience.
Strong knowledge of chocolate production and ingredients.
Hands‑on experience with pilot plants or food production processes.
Basic knowledge of rheology and process parameters.
Fluency in English, with fluency in Dutch or French.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Als R&D Pilot Plant Technician speel je een sleutelrol in het ondersteunen van productontwikkeling door het uitvoeren van pilootproducties en laboratoriumactiviteiten.
Je werkt hands‑on met chocolade en vullingen, bereidt pilootstalen voor, voert testen uit en zorgt voor een correcte uitvoering van R&D‑aanvragen. Deze rol combineert productie, labo‑werk en administratieve coördinatie, met een directe impact op innovatie en productkwaliteit.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden:

Voorbereiden en produceren van pilootstalen op basis van recepten en grondstoffen.
Bedienen van pilootinstallaties (mengen, raffineren, concheren) en opvolgen van procesparameters.
Evalueren van afgewerkte stalen op kwaliteit, smaak en conformiteit.
Ondersteunen bij staalvoorbereiding, verpakking en verzending naar klanten en interne stakeholders.
Beheren van SAP- en Salesforce‑processen rond staalaanvragen en materiaalverbruik.
Opvolgen van stock en materiaal in de pilootlijn.
Uitvoeren van labo‑analyses (rheologie, fijnheid, vocht, temperen, enz.).
Analyseren van resultaten en rapporteren aan R&D‑stakeholders.
Zorgen voor netheid, hygiëne en naleving van veiligheids- en ISO‑normen.
Bijdragen aan continue verbetering van recepten en processen.

Jouw profiel:

Bachelor diploma of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
Sterke kennis van chocoladeproductie en ingrediënten.
Hands‑on ervaring met pilootinstallaties of productieprocessen.
Basiskennis van rheologie en procesparameters.
Vloeiend in Engels en Nederlands of Frans.
Sterke nauwkeurigheid en organisatorische vaardigheden.
In staat om meerdere prioriteiten te beheren in een dynamische omgeving.

À propos du poste:

En tant que R&D Pilot Plant Technician, vous jouez un rôle clé dans le développement de nouveaux produits en opérant des installations pilotes et en réalisant des activités de laboratoire.
Vous travaillez de manière pratique avec le chocolat et les garnitures, préparez des échantillons pilotes, effectuez des essais et garantissez une exécution correcte des demandes R&D. Ce rôle combine production, laboratoire et coordination administrative, avec un impact direct sur l’innovation et la qualité des produits.

Vos responsabilités:

Préparer et produire des échantillons pilotes à partir de matières premières selon les recettes définies.
Utiliser les installations pilotes (mélange, raffinage, conchage) et suivre les paramètres du processus.
Évaluer les produits finis (qualité, goût, conformité).
Assurer la préparation, l’emballage et l’expédition des échantillons.
Gérer les processus SAP et Salesforce liés aux échantillons et aux matières.
Suivre les stocks et assurer leur exactitude.
Réaliser des tests en laboratoire (rhéologie, finesse, humidité, tempérage, etc.).
Analyser les résultats et rédiger des rapports pour les équipes R&D.
Garantir la propreté et le respect des normes de sécurité et ISO.
Contribuer à l’amélioration continue des recettes et des processus.

Votre profil:

Diplôme Bachelor ou expérience équivalente.
Bonne connaissance de la production de chocolat et des ingrédients.
Expérience pratique avec des installations pilotes ou en production.
Connaissance de base de la rhéologie et des paramètres de processus.
Excellente maîtrise de l’anglais et maîtrise du néerlandais ou du français.
Rigueur, précision et sens de l’organisation.
Capacité à gérer plusieurs priorités dans un environnement dynamique.
