As Consolidation Specialist you will have a key role in developing and managing the group’s IFRS conversion, consolidation and group reporting topics. You will have extraordinary chance to build your own role together with support of Virya finance colleagues.
Responsibilities:
IFRS Conversion & Group Consolidation:

Prepare consolidated financial statements under IFRS for several international group companies, with external support.

Report consolidated figures in Tagetik to the parent company and project shareholders.

Collect, process and validate financial data from group entities into consolidation reporting packages.

Perform and document consolidation adjustments and eliminations (GAAP-to-IFRS, IFRS 16, FX translation, equity method, deferred tax, etc.).

Analyze consolidated figures, explain variances and report findings to the Manager Accounting & Consolidation.

Investigate and document the accounting treatment of new initiatives, transactions and entities joining the group.

Act as point of contact for external auditors during interim and year-end closings.

Monitor IFRS standard changes and maintain the group accounting manual, policies and internal controls.
Special Projects, Systems & Business Partnering:

Manage special finance projects: new-country set-up, M&A support, international expansion, and future consolidation process design.

Collaborate on the group’s consolidation software (CCH Tagetik), including post-go-live support, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Prepare reports for management, the Board and external stakeholders (annual report, half-year reporting); act as contact point for group financial departments and coach local teams on reporting and IFRS.

Document and maintain internal procedures and policies.

Support the finance team on ad hoc accounting issues.

Education – Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

Experience – Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in consolidation, group reporting or audit, ideally including exposure to an IFRS conversion project.

Strong knowledge of IFRS, with hands-on experience applying it in a consolidation or conversion context.

IT – Experience with CCH Tagetik or a similar consolidation tool is a strong asset, very good command of Excel.

Analytical skills – Strong analytical mindset and the ability to investigate and document complex accounting matters.

Flexibility – Willingness to take ownership of a newly created role and help shape group reporting processes from the ground up.

Team player – Can work both independently and in close cooperation with the finance team and external advisors.

Communication – Comfortable liaising with auditors, management and financial departments across the group.

Languages – English + Dutch or/and French is a plus.
