Job description
Wanna give your training a strong societal turn ?
As part of the activities of the Health Impact Assessment Unit at Sciensano, we are looking for a Master’s student to contribute to the communication of scientific articles to the general public, particularly on the potential health effects of non-ionising radiation and 5G technology.
The Health Impact Assessment Unit is an expert centre that assesses the impact of the environment on human health. The unit works on various chemical, physical and biological agents, such as air pollution, endocrine disruptors, pesticides, metals, urbanisation and non-ionising radiation. In a context where the introduction of technologies such as 5G raises questions about the health and safety of citizens, the unit develops and updates scientific content for the online knowledge and learning platform on 5G, Parlons5G/Over5G.
The aim of the internship is to contribute to the search and analysis of scientific literature, as well as to translating the results of epidemiological and experimental studies into language that is accessible to the general public. The intern will contribute in particular to contextualising scientific findings and reformulating them in a clear, understandable and engaging way.
The internship will take place within the Health Impact Assessment Unit at Sciensano. The student will be supervised by a team specialised in assessing the health impacts of environmental exposures.
