This role will have a clear focus on supporting the team through data analysis, dashboarding, and performance reporting, particularly regarding cost savings, cost avoidance, and sustainability initiatives, including circular procurement and carbon reduction initiatives. You will be part of efforts to drive efficiency, sustainability, and transparency in procurement processes, helping to track and implement cost-effective and environmentally responsible practices.
As a member of the Procurement Center of Excellence, you will also contribute to procurement governance, process improvement, analytics, and capability-building initiatives. Additionally, you will act as a trusted advisor to imec employees, guiding them on procurement policies, processes, and sustainable purchasing practices to ensure compliant, efficient, and environmentally responsible purchasing decisions.You will report directly into the Centre of Excellence Manager and interact with all category buyers, and the procurement leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and further develop the procurement data sets, in support of our ongoing maturity journey.
- Develop and execute the multiple year Scope 3 carbon accounting roadmap (scope 3.1: purchased goods & services, and scope 3.2: CAPEX).
- Analyze procurement and supplier data to improve emissions reporting and identify carbon reduction opportunities.
- Engage suppliers to enhance sustainability data quality and support decarbonization initiatives.
- Support ESG, CSRD, and other sustainability reporting requirements.
- Contribute to Procurement Center of Excellence activities, including process improvement, procurement analytics, governance, and systems optimization.
- Advise imec employees on procurement processes, policies, and sustainable purchasing choices.
- Promote sustainability awareness and integrate sustainability considerations into sourcing and purchasing decisions.

- Bachelor’s, master’s degree or equivalent by experience.
- Work hard, play hard, attitude, wanting to make an impact and roll up your sleeves.
- 3–7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain analytics, sustainability, ESG reporting, or carbon accounting.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with procurement and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Power BI, Excel).
- Knowledge of Scope 3 emissions, GHG accounting, and sustainability reporting frameworks is a strong advantage.
- Extensive knowledge of Excel is a strong advantage.
- Understanding of chemical industry is an advantage.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and project management skills.
- Passion for sustainability, continuous improvement and genuine enthusiasm for exploring and adopting emerging AI technologies.
- Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.
