Data Lead to shape and lead this domain at the highest level. You will define how data supports our strategy and helps accelerate our impact. You will build bridges across teams, countries and systems, turning data into a true competitive advantage. Your tasks & responsibilities?
- Strategic Data Leadership: You define and drive DESOTEC’s global data strategy. You translate business priorities into a clear data roadmap, ensuring data becomes a key enabler of growth, innovation and operational excellence. You take ownership of DESOTEC's enterprise reporting landscape across ERP, Data Platform and BI environments, ensuring reporting supports impactful decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Data Organization & Governance: You establish and maintain a group-wide data governance framework, ensuring data quality, ownership, security and compliance across all entities. You standardize ways of working and create clarity in roles and responsibilities related to data. You drive reporting governance and ensure a reliable single source of truth across finance and business functions.
- Architecture & Technology Direction: You take ownership of the overall data architecture and ecosystem. You guide decisions around platforms, data pipelines and integrations, ensuring scalability, performance and future-proof setups aligned with business needs.
- Advanced Analytics & Business Impact: You drive the development of advanced analytics, business intelligence and AI use cases. You prioritize initiatives based on business value and ensure insights are effectively translated into decisions and actions. You define and maintain key business KPIs, data models and reporting standards, ensuring consistent and decision-ready insights throughout the organization.
- Data-Driven Culture: You play a key role in embedding a data-driven mindset throughout the organization, empowering teams to leverage data in their daily decision-making.
You bridge the gap between technical teams and the business, ensuring alignment and impact across the group.
You act as the key interface between Finance, IT and Business, translating business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
- Team Leadership & Development: You build and lead a high-performing team, foster collaboration and create an environment where talent can grow.
- You hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Data, IT, Engineering, Business or similar).
- You bring extensive experience (± 5 years) within data, analytics, FP&A, controlling or a similar business-oriented data environment.
- You are a people leader, able to coach, inspire and align multidisciplinary teams in an international environment.
- You combine a strong technical understanding of data architecture, engineering, BI and analytics with a strategic mindset. You have experience setting up or scaling data platforms, governance frameworks and analytics capabilities.
- You have extensive experience with Power BI, strong knowledge of SQL, and a solid understanding of ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365), data flows and reporting ecosystems.
- You have a strong focus on data quality, governance and standardization, while maintaining a pragmatic approach that balances structure and agility in a fast-growing international environment.
- You are able to translate business needs into impactful data and reporting solutions and communicate complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- You take ownership of reporting outcomes and understand how high-quality insights contribute directly to business performance and strategic decision-making.
As Data Lead, you will lead a team of data engineers, data scientists and BI developers. You operate at Group level, working across multiple countries and entities, and play a key role in connecting business and technology.
In this role, you deliver accurate, reliable and clearly explained reporting for the Senior Leadership Team and decision makers across the business units. You ensure that reports not only present the right figures, but also clarify the underlying insights, explain business impact and provide the necessary context to support informed decision-making across DESOTEC.
