What to expect of the job?
As a Global Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies that secure the materials, components and services needed for Soleras' global operations.
- Your main responsibilities include:
- Developing sourcing strategies for raw materials, precious metals, technical components and services.
- Managing relationships with strategic suppliers worldwide (Europe, Americas, Asia) and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Identifying new suppliers and leading supplier qualification processes.
- Monitoring market trends, commodity prices and supply risks to support business decisions.
- Driving cost reduction initiatives while ensuring quality, continuity of supply and operational efficiency.
- Collaborating closely with Operations, Planning, Quality, R&D, Logistics and Business Managers across our international locations.
- Supporting supplier performance management and resolving supply or quality issues.
- Monitoring procurement KPIs and providing reporting and market insights to management.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, such as REACH, RoHS, conflict minerals regulations and company standards.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded procurement professional who thrives in an international manufacturing environment.
- Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree with several years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic purchasing, sourcing or procurement.
- Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Good understanding of supply chain, logistics and international procurement.
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement tools.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel internationally when required.
- Nice to have
- Experience with raw material purchasing like precious metals, specialty metals, chemicals or with technical components.
- Knowledge of commodity pricing mechanisms and market analysis.
- Additional language skills such as Dutch, French or German.
