AKAI is looking for an elegant, confident and welcoming Host / Hostess to join our team and become the first point of contact for our guests.
Located on the 30th floor of Cardo Brussels, AKAI combines contemporary Asian-Mediterranean cuisine, cocktails, music and panoramic views in a vibrant, high-end environment.
As a Host / Hostess, you will play a key role in creating the AKAI experience from the very first moment. You will welcome guests, manage the entrance and reservations, coordinate seating and ensure every guest feels expected, welcomed and well taken care of.
Your responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests with warmth, confidence and professionalism.
- Manage the arrival and seating of guests, ensuring a smooth and elegant flow throughout the restaurant.
- Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortably installed.
- Manage reservations, arrivals and table allocation.
- Answer incoming phone calls professionally in English, French and Dutch.
- Respond to guest questions and provide accurate information about the restaurant, menu, events and reservations.
- Coordinate closely with the service team to ensure smooth table management.
- Manage guest requests and special occasions with attention to detail.
- Maintain an excellent overview of the restaurant's occupancy and reservations throughout the service.
- Create a welcoming, polished and professional atmosphere at the entrance.
- Represent the image and standards of AKAI at all times.

- Previous experience as a Host / Hostess in a high-end restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment.
- Experience with Zenchef or another restaurant reservation system.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and table management.
- Experience dealing with VIP guests and special occasions.
- Additional languages are a plus.
- Knowledge or interest in Japanese and Asian cuisine.
Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, reception, guest relations or a similar customer-facing position.
- Fluent in English, French and Dutch.
- Excellent personal presentation and professional communication.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Positive, reliable and team-oriented attitude.
- Strong work ethic and genuine attention to guests.
- A natural sense of elegance, hospitality and discretion.

Pay: €15,29 per hour
