How Can You Help ILIAS Communicate as One?
ILIAS is growing rapidly. More than 20 nationalities work together across multiple offices and time zones. As the organization grows, communication naturally expands across teams, functions, and locations. Leaders communicate strategy. Managers guide their teams. HR supports organizational change. Marketing strengthens the company story.
Each activity creates value.
Together, they have the potential to create even greater impact. That's where a shared Internal Communications capability makes the difference. It creates rhythm, strengthens consistency, and helps ILIAS move forward together.
That's where you'll make the difference.
As ILIAS' first dedicated Senior Internal Communications Specialist, you'll establish the Internal Communications capability that enables the organization to communicate with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Build the capability. Create the rhythm. Bring the organization together.
Meaningful Work in a Mission Driven Environment
Build the Foundation Behind Organizational Collaboration
ILIAS helps defense organizations create one trusted operational picture by connecting maintenance, logistics, operations, and workforce readiness. Working from the same information enables better decisions, stronger collaboration, and greater operational effectiveness.
The same principle applies within ILIAS.
Internal Communications helps people understand where the organization is heading, why change matters, and how teams contribute to shared business priorities. It strengthens collaboration, creates shared understanding, and helps people move the organization forward together.
As part of the Marketing team, you'll establish and grow the Internal Communications capability by:
-
Developing and implementing the Internal Communications strategy.
-
Establishing governance, communication standards, and practical ways of working.
-
Creating a consistent communication rhythm across the organization.
-
Working closely with the Change Facilitator, HR, Cluster Leads, and the Management Team.
-
Supporting leaders and managers with clear, timely, and engaging communication.
-
Managing and continuously improving SharePoint, Viva Engage, and other internal communication channels.
-
Delivering communication through leadership updates, newsletters, presentations, videos, podcasts, the intranet, and Town Halls.
-
Measuring communication effectiveness through KPIs, analytics, and employee feedback.
-
Advising senior stakeholders and translating business priorities into communication that informs, connects, and engages.
-
Strengthening a shared sense of identity and belonging through internal communication and employee engagement initiatives.
What You Bring
Building an Internal Communications capability requires someone who combines strategic thinking with hands on delivery. Someone who builds trusted relationships, creates structure, and translates business priorities into communication that people understand and trust.
You'll probably recognize yourself in much of this:
-
At least five years of experience in Internal or Corporate Communications.
-
A proven track record of building or significantly improving an Internal Communications capability or function.
-
Experience developing communication strategies, governance, and communication frameworks.
-
Experience supporting organizational change and employee engagement.
-
Experience working across international teams, cultures, and locations.
-
Experience with SharePoint, Viva Engage, and communication analytics.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Additional European languages are an advantage.
-
A structured, pragmatic, collaborative, and hands on approach.
-
A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Organizational Development, HR, or a related field.
Experience within an international technology organization is an advantage. Experience in the defense industry is welcome, but your ability to influence stakeholders, connect teams, and build trusted relationships across the organization matters just as much.

In defence operations, timing and reliable information shape every decision. Many organizations still rely on fragmented systems, limiting visibility and slowing execution. ILIAS Solutions connects logistics, maintenance, and operations into one integrated platform. This creates a single source of truth and enables teams to act on real time data across strategic, operational, and tactical levels. Large volumes of operational data move continuously between systems. This data reflects maintenance cycles, logistics flows, and asset readiness. Accuracy and consistency directly impact operational outcomes.
