About the role
A global critical financial infrastructure company is looking to strengthen its Cyber & Information Security team in its Brussels office. Our department provides impact analysis, security risk assessment, security requirements, and design validation for all IT projects at Euroclear, along with regular security assessments and support for compliance activities.
Responsibilities
Define and advise on the design, implementation, and test processes necessary to protect information system assets
Perform risk assessments and translate security architecture and high-level policies into concrete security requirements (secure by design)
Contribute to architectural design and validate it against security requirements
Define security testing requirements and penetration test scope, supporting testing teams
Define and implement security services aligned with IT security policies
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in a specific domain (e.g. mainframe security, PKI/cryptography, network security, platform security, IAM, application security, or secure coding)
Produce documented security services, technical standards, and principles
Technical requirements
Proven experience in security risk assessments, development of functional security requirements, and management reporting
Familiarity with best practices in: IAM, PKI, network security, data protection
Application security knowledge: OWASP, code scanning tools, security automation in CI/CD pipelines
Experience with security technologies: IDaaS, identity management platforms, federation services, WAF, endpoint security
Knowledge of: virtualization, SDN, cloud (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), network and DMZ infrastructure, VoIP, Wi-Fi/802.1x, anti-malware, middleware, storage (SAN/NAS), databases, Infrastructure as Code
Preferred certifications
CISSP, GIAC, SABSA, ISO 27001 LA/LI. Specific security product certifications are a plus.
Profile
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar
Senior: 10+ years of cybersecurity experience across multiple domains and organizations
Entry-level: 3+ years of cybersecurity experience in at least one domain
Fluent English
Strong communication skills, able to translate technical topics for both business and technical audiences
Independent, service-oriented, able to manage multiple projects under pressure
Comfortable working in international, multicultural environments
