This represents a significant growth of number of business interactions, contract proposals and contract negotiations in general. To sustain this growth trajectory, we are seeking a Business Enablement Director.
As Business Enablement Director, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening and scaling imec's commercial operating model. You will drive the effectiveness, governance, and continuous improvement of our cross-functional Business Enablement Teams (BETs).
In essence, you will help reviewing, challenging, supporting & accepting:
- Major business proposals to maximize value
- Key account strategies
- Customer satisfaction through business interactions
You will act as a strategic partner to the business leadership team, designing and embedding the processes, systems, performance metrics, and ways of working that enable transparency, accountability, and execution excellence across the organization.
To succeed in this role, you will:
Drive performance and effectiveness of the Business Enablement Teams
- Monitor and continuously optimize the effectiveness of the cross-functional BET operating model.
- Partner with Business Leads to strengthen collaboration, accelerate decision-making, and increase execution excellence across teams.
- Establish clear accountability frameworks, decision rights, and role definitions that improve efficiency and stakeholder alignment.
- Lead the definition, implementation, and monitoring of KPIs to drive process performance, adoption, quality, and compliance across all Business Enablement Teams.
Elevate quality and consistency of customer-facing deliverables
- Champion continuous improvement of proposal and concept note quality, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment with imec's strategic objectives, offerings and value proposition.
Strengthen sales methodology and governance
- Lead the adoption, execution, and continuous enhancement of the Miller Heiman sales methodology across the organization.
- Ensure consistent application of commercial processes and methodologies while monitoring adherence and driving measurable business outcomes.
Build a customer-centric feedback and performance framework
- Design and implement a structured customer satisfaction and account review framework that delivers actionable insights.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on customer feedback, business performance indicators, and strategic account learnings.

- A master’s degree in technology, engineering, or related fields, along with strong business acumen and a passion for technology innovation, is required. A PhD is not necessary for this position.
- Extensive experience in the semiconductor industry is mandatory.
- We are seeking an individual with over 15 years of experience in business operations & enablement
- The candidate should be comfortable with a cross-functional team setup with multi-stakeholder interactions
- Familiarity with the Miller Heimann methodology and tools is beneficial.
- The ideal candidate will be someone who genuinely enjoys building stakeholder interactions, with a focus on driving impact through the right processes & systems within an organization.
- Demonstrated leadership in deep tech innovation in one or more industries is highly valued.
- The candidate should have a thorough understanding of multi-stakeholder engagements, cross-functional teams within larger companies and how-to drive adoption/compliance in a complex environment.
- You have strong organizational, planning, verbal, written communication, and analytical skills. You are a team player with a can-do attitude.
- You excel in presentations and interpersonal skills.
