Service Technician (Field-Based) – Belgium
Salary: €50,000–€55,000 per year + benefits
About the Opportunity
An established international engineering and industrial services organisation is seeking a skilled Service Technician to support customers across Belgium. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys a combination of field service work and workshop-based activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a range of mechanical and hydraulic process equipment while ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Service & Maintenance
- Carry out mechanical and hydraulic maintenance, repairs, and servicing activities
- Diagnose faults and implement effective corrective actions
- Prepare equipment and tools required for service interventions
- Support commissioning and restart activities where required
- Complete detailed service reports following company standards
Customer Support
- Deliver professional technical support on customer sites
- Provide basic operator and maintenance training when required
- Build positive relationships with customers through high-quality service delivery
- Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, installation, automation, and project teams
- Assist with warranty investigations and quality-related issues
- Support service improvement initiatives and operational excellence activities
- Supervise contractors where appropriate and depending on experience
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and company procedures
- Maintain a strong commitment to safe working practices
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and customer site requirements
About You
- Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Electromechanics, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in industrial maintenance, field service, or equipment servicing
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
- Hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Customer-focused and professional communicator
- Valid driving licence
- Language Requirements
- Fluent Dutch (required)
- English and/or French considered a strong advantage
