Own the design, simulation and validation of small-scale jet engines to be mounted on our proprietary UAS designs, from conception to mass manufacturing
Grow the Jet Engine Design team, as its first member
Employ aerodynamic and thermodynamic modeling to design and optimize Jet Engines
Execute structural analysis (including fatigue) and estimate lifetime and wear of key components
Work with the manufacturing engineering team and external partners to establish and scale up production
Work with the Aeronautics team to integrate the engine in autonomous, unmanned aircrafts
Coordinate testing and validation, internally and externally
Be hands-on, developing and testing prototypes with the team in the lab and the field
