Within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (MEDE) and the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Research (IREC), Health Science Sector, this position will include the following teaching, research and community service duties:
You will teach mainly in the field of human anatomy. Your teaching will focus on medical practice. In particular, you will be able to emphasise the morphological and morphogenetic details that are essential to understanding the functioning of the healthy body and disease, and you will emphasise structures and their topographical relationships that are of clinical, semiological, radiological or surgical importance.
Some of the teaching will be given to large cohorts of students and you will need to have the scientific and teaching skills to meet the demands of such a teaching load. You will teach in the various undergraduate programmes run by the Faculty of Medecine and Dentistry and the other faculties in the sector. You will also supervise Master’s theses.
You will develop your research activities, including the leadership of research programmes in the field of morphology, and more specifically in tissue engineering in the context of tissue transplantation. These activities may build on one or more of the institute's major research areas. You will supervise PhD theses.
Once tenured, you will carry out various service activities and responsibilities within the institution, such as being a member of a programme committee or examination committee, or having management responsibilities within the faculty or research institute.
You will also contribute to serving society, particularly in the economic, social, cultural or development cooperation fields. Finally, you will ensure, through research and teaching activities, the university’s international visibility.
