We are looking for a senior Database Architect to join the DevSecOps team at the European External Action Service (EEAS) in Brussels.
This is a high‑impact, on‑site role within a multicultural, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
Data modelling and database design (conceptual, logical, physical).
Reverse engineering of existing databases and integration across systems.
Development, maintenance, and integration of database components.
Integration of relational and NoSQL databases.
Creation of test programs and enforcement of best practices for naming conventions and coding standards.
Writing clear, structured technical documentation.
Support in deployment and configuration activities.
Troubleshooting, performance optimization, and technical audits.
Participation in technical and project meetings.
Required Technical Skills
Strong experience with Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL.
Experience with NoSQL databases: MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB.
Knowledge of MQL and CQL.
Proven background in database architecture and master data management.
Experience with modelling tools such as SQL Developer Data Modeler, Hackolade, NoSQL Workbench.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Experience with Atlassian tools, GitHub, ServiceNow.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.

Requires Personal Security Clearance (PSC) up to SECRET UE (process initiated after acceptance).
