In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely accounting, financial reporting and closing of several holding entities. Working as part of a collaborative Finance team, you will contribute to month-end and year-end closings, financial reporting, audit activities and continuous process improvements.
Your responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting activities for the assigned entities and ensure the accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings, in compliance with Belgian GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Prepare financial reports, reconciliations and analyses to support management and Group reporting. Monitor financial performance, investigate variances and provide reliable financial information to facilitate decision-making.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing the required documentation, responding to audit requests and ensuring compliance with statutory, accounting and internal control requirements.
- Prepare VAT returns, corporate income tax (CIT) returns and the related tax documentation (Transfer Pricing documentation, Local File and other statutory tax filings). Collaborate with external tax advisors on complex tax matters that fall outside the internal scope of expertise, ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Finance processes, internal controls and reporting, while working collaboratively with the Finance Manager and the other Senior Accountant to ensure operational excellence, business continuity and the successful achievement of the Finance department's objectives
- Prepare and maintain consolidated views of budgets, actuals and forecasts across holding entities. Coordinate with Group entities, support consolidation requests, resolve reporting discrepancies, and provide variance analysis to support management decisions.
- Manage the day-to-day treasury activities for the assigned entities, including the preparation of payment runs, monitoring cash positions and preparing cash flow forecasts. Manage funding requests, maintain banking mandates and signatory powers, and liaise with banking institutions to resolve operational issues and ensure the efficient management of banking relationships.
