Restaurant Manager – Brussels
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our restaurant in Brussels. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with excellent organisational skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the restaurant and lead the front-of-house team.
- Recruit, train, coach, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Ensure excellent guest experiences and professionally resolve customer complaints.
- Drive sales through effective upselling techniques and team coaching.
- Organise staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Monitor cash handling, payment processing, and end-of-day cash reconciliation.
- Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and company policies.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service quality.
- Manage stock levels and coordinate with suppliers where required.
- Monitor team performance and provide ongoing training and development.
- Handle confidential business and employee information with professionalism and discretion.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar management role within the hospitality industry.
- EU Passport or a valid Belgian work permit is required.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Proven ability to increase sales through upselling and customer engagement.
- Experience in staff training and performance management.
- Good understanding of food safety, health, and safety regulations.
- Ability to manage cash, payments, and financial procedures accurately.
- Confident in handling customer complaints and resolving issues professionally.
- Trustworthy, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
Availability
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Must be flexible to work until the restaurant's closing time as required.
