Barista Manager — Fortuna Specialty Coffee, Ixelles
Fortuna Specialty Coffee is a new specialty coffee bar opening near Flagey. Locally roasted coffee, carefully selected products, and a strong focus on hospitality. We're looking for someone who wants to build something from day one.
Your Role
You run the bar and own the coffee. You set the standard, train the team, and keep daily operations running. Hands-on: you're on bar every day, and you're also the person the business relies on.
Responsibilities
- Own espresso and brew quality (dialling in, recipes, consistency across shifts)
- Lead, train and schedule the barista team
- Manage stock, ordering and supplier relationships
- Handle opening/closing, cash and daily reporting
- Maintain hygiene standards
- Machine care and maintenance
- Contribute to the menu, workshops and events
Who We're Looking For
- 2–3 years in specialty coffee at least
- Experience leading or training a team
- Strong espresso, milk texturing and dialling in
- Comfortable with the operational side
- French and English (Dutch a plus)
- Calm under pressure, and you actually like talking to customers
