Central Services - Manager Professional support
To strengthen the Corporate HR Team, we are currently recruiting a Payroll Lead.
Key responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of the end-to-end payroll processes for multiple legal entities (approximately 7 entities).
- Monitor compliance with employment law, social security law, tax regulations and internal policies impacting payroll.
- Oversee the collection and validation of payroll data in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Conduct and oversee regular payroll controls to ensure data accuracy, completeness and compliance.
- Identify, investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely and structured manner.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of employee data in HR systems (including hires, terminations, promotions and contractual changes).
- Act as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for payroll-related topics, including process optimization, documentation and system improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within payroll processes and support system integrations across HR tools.
- Coordinate payroll-related processes, procedures and analyses to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
Team leadership:
- Lead, coach, and support the development of the payroll team (Payroll Officers).
- Provide operational guidance and act as escalation point for complex payroll issues.
- Ensure knowledge sharing, training and continuous development within the team.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent through relevant experience
- Solid experience within a payroll environment, ideally in a complex, multi-entity structure
- Strong knowledge of Belgian payroll regulations (social security, tax, labour law)
- Proven experience in payroll processes and systems.
- Experience in people management or coaching is a strong asset.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to improve processes and drive efficiency.
- Project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in Dutch or French and English.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex payroll topics.
- Discreet, reliable and structured.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Able to work autonomously while fostering team collaboration.
- Confident in working with AI tools and maintaining a critical mindset. when using AI in daily tasks and in collaboration within the team
