As Lead Automation Engineer, you play a key role in managing, optimizing, and further deploying our PLC systems within the test facilities. - You start by supporting and debugging the existing Siemens S7-1500 installations to thoroughly understand the entire process. - In the short term, you independently apply automation solutions to other test setups that have not yet been converted. - In addition to expanding and modifying existing code, you also write new PLC logic as needed. - You work within an innovative team that constantly seeks faster, smarter, and more reliable test solutions. - The installations you work with consist of process components such as valves, control valves, pressure and flow meters. - An important part of your role involves electrically converting and connecting components during the transition from older to newer PLC systems. - You also assist in setting up OPC UA communication between PLCs and other systems and familiarize yourself with the SCADA system WinCC OA, where you may take on a supporting role in the future. **Your responsibilities** - Supporting and debugging Siemens S7-1500 PLCs in TIA Portal. - Independently applying, modifying, and expanding existing PLC code on other installations. - Electrically converting, connecting, and debugging components during the migration from old to new PLC systems. - Analyzing and resolving technical issues within PLC installations. - Setting up and maintaining OPC UA communication between PLCs and other systems. - Performing limited modifications to Schneider PLCs. - Collaborating with team members within Test Facilities and reporting to the team lead and project lead. - Familiarizing yourself with and supporting the WinCC OA SCADA system.
