- Teaching to pupils in the Primary cycle in the Anglophone section
- Replacing the regular class teacher for the duration of one school year, teaching the different subjects of the European School’s curriculum and following it’s pedagogical approach
- Developing pupils’ interest in and motivation for learning a second language
- Creating a positive, structured and stimulating learning environment for young learners
- Participating in school projects, meetings and pedagogical collaboration
- Working closely with section colleagues and teachers from other language sections
- Contributing actively to the multicultural and multilingual life of the school

- Teaching diploma allowing you to teach in primary education.
- Candidates without the appropriate diploma cannot be considered for this position.
- Native speaker of English or equivalent official certificate (C2) by an independent certifying body.
- Knowledge of one of the other vehicular languages (FR/DE) or Dutch (NL) is an asset.
- Experience as a class teacher in primary education.
- A diploma or experience in teaching English as a second language is an asset.
- Experience with students with special learning needs is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit with colleagues, management, and families.
- Motivation to work in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
- Candidates must be entitled to work in Belgium.
- Candidates must be in possession of a recent DBS check ("Certificate of good conduct" / DBS check).

- A part-time contract according to the Service regulations for locally recruited teachers in the European Schools (Ref.: 2016-05-D-11-en-1) starting on 01/09/2026 until 02/07/2027 with the possibility of prolongation
- Brut monthly salary € 3 981,00 for 20 hours per week

"A locally recruited teacher recruited for a minimum period of one year and a contract providing a minimum of 16 hours/periods per week shall, as provided in Article 59 and Article 62 of the Regulations for Seconded Staff Members of the European Schools, be entitled to reimbursement of the expenses caused by the removal to the place of the school (...)".
- Installation allowance (art. 37bis)
"A locally recruited teacher recruited for a minimum period of one year and a contract providing a minimum of 16 hours/periods per week who furnishes evidence of having been obliged to change his/her place of residence and of having actually settled at his/her place of employment (...) shall be entitled (a) to an installation allowance (...)".
