In this context, we are looking for a Sales Account Executive for our European Union Institutions & NATO (EUI/NATO) sales squad. As Sales Account Executive you will have the opportunity to play a decisive role in the further expansion of our business in these international institutions.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Sales Account Executive in the EUI/NATO squad, you will be responsible for managing and growing one or more key strategic EUI/NATO customers at Proximus NXT. Contacts with C-level executives within your customer portfolio are primordial to get a good understanding of the sector and customers. This way we can respond to customer/market needs in this segment and achieve a high penetration rate (at customer and industry level).
- You will be responsible with some key customer(s) of EUI/NATO for the growth of their business with the Proximus GroupIn your approach, you are able to build a strategic partnership with your customers, knowing how to use the full expertise of the Proximus Group for traditional and innovative solutions.
- You can find your way in complex organizational structures and decision-making processes. It is crucial to understand the hierarchy within the EUI/NATO and to find your way within the different departments and committees.
- You will be able to navigate fluently in an international and multicultural environment. EUI/NATO institutions consist of member states from all over Europe and North America.
- Effective communication skills and a high degree of cultural sensitivity are important to maintain relationships with stakeholders from different backgrounds.
- English is the primary working language for both EUI and NATO, so a good command of English is essential. Proficiency in other languages, especially French, is highly advantageous. French is one of NATO's official languages and is widely used in EU institutions.
- You can focus on long-term goals and partnerships. You must be able to plan long-term and align these goals to be successful.
- Collaboration with partners and suppliers is a crucial aspect of working in the EUI and NATO sector. Since the organization and requirements are complex and demanding, it is important to build strong relationships with partners.
- You need to be strategic and patient, as results and decisions can take longer to materialize. Managing long sales cycles often requires the ability to manage expectations internally and ensure the team stays focused and motivated.
- You can handle and manage highly secure and confidential information. Both EUI and NATO handle sensitive and classified information. Knowledge of and experience in handling such information is important. In this scope holding a “Security Clearance” is a plus.
- You develop an extensive knowledge of the client(s)/sector and build a high-level trust relationship, enabling you to propose and realize high value-added projects.
- You initiate targeted opportunities, negotiate, and defend all deals to a successful conclusion.
- You are a team player with strong people management skills, which translate into motivating all stakeholders within the Account / Bid Team.
- Working closely with the Solutions Sales and Presales Team, you will ensure that the delivered solutions are relevant and in line with customer demand and delivered in accordance with the contract. You will also personally follow up on complex deals and be able to independently pitch your solution to your customer.
- You have the necessary knowledge of the specific Procurement Procedures of both EUI and NATO.
- You provide management with a clear insight into the market trends, challenges, and opportunities with your customers thanks to which the Proximus Group can respond proactively to market developments.
- Through your to-the-point reporting, you contribute to the budget determinations for the relevant customer portfolio and to the realization of the sales budget.
- Your effective stakeholder management, both internally and externally, makes you a valued interlocutor at all levels within the organization. You have access to senior management and executive level and can enter conversations with them independently.
- You manage the virtual Account Team to answer public tenders in a professional way by bringing together the key stakeholders and ensuring that everyone is motivated to contribute to the answer of the tender and the growth of your client portfolio.
- You provide professional management reporting on large complex deals and can independently present these to the Management Team, this is the Enterprise Leadership Squad of Proximus NXT.
- In line with the Agile Tribe model, you report to the Chapter Owner of the squad EUI/NATO, functionally you work in the Sales Squad EUI/NATO where you also work closely with the team of the Proximus Luxembourg branch.
- You have at least 7 years of experience in strategic Account Management and/or Business Development and/or Solution Sales within a B2B environment and have a passion for developing and growing a customer portfolio.
- You are result and customer focused and stress resistant!
- You have a relevant experience and knowledge of solutions within the ICT sector and telecommunications, and you have a passion for new developments and innovation in these domains.
- You are familiar with managing public tenders so your experience and affinity with the public sector and in particular EUI/NATO institutions is a great asset.
- You can develop a growth plan and clear vision for the client portfolio you are responsible for by developing an Account Development Plan.
- You are a strong communicator who moves easily in a complex stakeholder landscape and have good negotiation skills.
- You are solution-oriented, creative, and adaptable.
- You are a team player, with people-management skills to manage virtual teams.
- You have good presentation skills.
- You know and respect internal processes and procedures.
- You are committed to customer satisfaction.
- The visibility and high expectations associated with responsibility for one or more key customer(s) motivate you.
- You are bilingual (NL/FR) and you are very fluent in English.
- You possess knowledge about and enjoy delving into P&L management of the clients you are responsible for and can analyse and format them perfectly.
- You take on an ambassador role in the Corporate Account Sales chapter regarding specific domains (tools, processes, innovative solutions) and you are the SPOC for this within the squad in which you work.
- You are a natural leader, enjoy working autonomously and are naturally customer oriented.
- Your knowledge, experience and/or conviction in working according to the Agile Tribe model is an asset.
- You can identify with the Think Possible mindset of the Proximus Group, and you are willing to adopt this mindset and apply the expected behaviours.
- You like to be aware of new trends and technologies to respond to the needs of our customers.
