For our office in BE-Genk, we are looking for an Operational Trainee (1,0 FTE).
Function
During this 6-month Operations Traineeship, you’ll dive into the heart of an international transport operation and discover how everything works behind the scenes. No coffee runs. No sitting on the sidelines. You’ll become part of the action from day one.
What will you do?
As an Operations Trainee, you’ll join our operational teams at our office in Genk and learn the business hands-on. During the traineeship, you’ll rotate through different operational departments, including:
Customer Care
Truck Planning
Train Planning
Fleet Control
This means you’ll:
work together with different teams,
learn how international transport operations are managed,
understand how planning and logistics really work,
and build practical skills that you can use in your career.
You’ll get a full view of:
operational processes,
communication flows,
transport planning,
problem-solving in real-time,
and coordination between departments.
What will you learn?
How to manage and coordinate transport operations
How to react quickly in a fast-moving operational environment
How planning and fleet control work behind the scenes
How to communicate with drivers, customers and colleagues
How to work with professional transport systems like Ixolution (TMS) and Transics
You’ll learn by doing, supported by experienced colleagues and operational experts.
