Senior Associate Markets & Technology.

You have between 6 and 8 years of experience as a practicing lawyer admitted to the Bar in Belgium.
You have a proven track-record of successful cases as a lawyer.
You have deep knowledge and experience in ICT Law (Licensing, Regulatory, Intermediary Liability) and/or Competition and Market Practices Law in a leading national or international law firm. Affinity with Intellectual Property and/or Data Protection is a plus.
You have experience managing teams of lawyers and carrying out Business Development operations finding new customers and prospects.
Ideally, you have an emerging portable business that can be managed from Edson.
You have the ambition to become Counsel and follow the Partner track at Edson within the next years.
You want to develop a career spanning across Advisory, Transactional and Litigation work.
You want to work on the crossroads of Business, Law and Policy and you are at ease in the company of business executives.
You prefer working in a team rather than alone. As a senior associate, part of your role will be being a role model for mid-level and junior associates.
You have an eye for detail and a liking for perfection. You have high demands towards others as well as to yourself.
You speak one of the official languages of Belgium in combination with English and any other third language. An academic track record in more than one of those languages is a definite plus.
You like to be the challenger rather than the incumbent. You don’t argue, you debate. You like to work hard when it’s needed – and not when it’s inefficient.
You see the connection where others do not and can make connections out-of-the-box. You can come up with creative solutions to solve problems that don’t align with the traditional approach.
